Potato Au Gratin - the creamy wholesome dish

Potato Gratin, also known as Dauphinoise Potatoes, is a French classic made with layers upon layers of finely sliced potatoes, cream, butter and cheese with a hint of fresh thyme. Formally known as Au Gratin, for more casual dining it can also be called Scalloped Potatoes and Potato Bake.
