Wild Chef Classic Corn Patties 100g were released late 2023 but we’ve seen it quickly become a core product in the 2024 Wild Chef range. Chefs can adapt these patties as their new cost-effective and consistent quality Corn Fritter alternative for café or convenience options.

We sat down with the Wild Chef himself, former Chef and Director Jeremy Lang in this new Q&A series, giving you behind the scenes information on the development this new market-leading product.

1. Why did you create Classic Corn Patties 100g? 

I always believed that there needed to be an alternative corn patty in the market that really was full of corn and also met all the dietary requirements needed these days.

2. What were your key development considerations when making this product? 

As this product was released into the market as a Corn Fritter alternative, we needed to ensure it was loaded with corn, easy to serve and could be dressed up and dressed down (like a good pair of jeans).  I also wanted something that was light and not heavy on the palette.

3. As a former Chef, what do you wish other Chefs knew about Wild Chef’s Classic Corn Patties? 

That it provides a consistent Chef-quality base with a great flavour profile that is not overpowering, therefore suitable for breakfast, brunch and dinner. It’s also a slight breakaway from the traditional flour based Corn Fritter as it contains no flour. (Gluten Free).
