Founded in 2003 by husband-and-wife team, Jeremy and Jennifer Lang, Wild Chef is a business designed to support the New Zealand Food Service Industry by providing chef quality bases.
Jeremy was a chef by trade – after spending years working in this industry, he gained a deep understanding of the struggles that come with it. There was a clear gap in the market for ready-made chef quality bases & sides – that still look & taste like they came straight from the kitchen.
Jennifer comes from a successful corporate background – with her eye for detail & good systems alongside Jeremy’s ‘get it done’ approach – the duo has built Wild Chef into the buzzing business that it is today.
Wild Chef is constantly evolving alongside the foodservice industry, which is how we have ended up with a 100% Vegetarian & Gluten-Free product line. We listen – we provide solutions and ideas – and like to go where the industry & customer needs take us, whilst holding onto our ethos of only using wholesome ingredients just as a chef would do. Supporting the foodservice industry will always remain at the core of what we do.
