Hash Sticks

These fun Hash Sticks are made with freshly sliced NZ Agria potato and taste homely. They now come pre-fried to be even more versatile for sides, bar snacks, kids menus, function food, or part of main meals.

Cooking Guidelines (cook from frozen)

Note: Cooking guidelines serve as a guide only, as appliances may vary. Cook from frozen until desired colour & piping hot in the middle.

Oven: Pre-heat oven to 220°C. Place frozen Hash Sticks on a tray lined with baking paper. Brush/spray with a little oil. Bake for 8 minutes then turn and bake for a further 4 minutes.

Deep Fry: Pre-heat deep fryer at 180°C. Deep fry frozen Hash Sticks in small batches for 3 minutes. (Recommended cooking method)

Pan Fry: Pre-heat pan on a medium setting with a little oil. Then, carefully place frozen Hash Sticks into pan and shallow fry for 7 minutes turning regularly.

 

Serving Suggestions:

  • Breakfast Burrito: Hash Sticks are the perfect shape to wrap up into a breakfast burrito with breakfast beans, cherry tomatoes, coriander and sauce.
  • Fish with a side of Hash Sticks: Replace regular chips with Hash Sticks - giving your customers something different to have alongside fresh fish.
  • Breakfast Wrap: Wrap Hash Sticks with bacon, scrambled eggs and rocket for a tasty and easy cabinet option. Swap out bacon for mushrooms for an easy Vegetarian wrap.
  • Kids menu idea: Serve Hash Sticks as dipping sliders with soft boiled eggs for a great kids option. They're fun, yum and will be popular!
